Preparation for the traditional bride.

—The arrangement of 7 items of lingerie.

From 1945 to 1990, until Madam Liliana passed away, she ardently pursued "the lingerie arrangements for weddings"

7 is a lucky number in Europe. It has the meaning of sacredness, mystery, and completeness in the Bible. To convey good luck to a bride, there is a custom for a mother to send a gift to her daughter. She sends "a set of 7 items of lingerie" which include a long night dress, a dressing gown, a slip, a middle slip, a camisole, a bottom mini slip, and a long camisole.

Try some new lingerie, and begin life anew.

In any situation, you can become a more attractive, elegant and refined woman with the help of the luxurious lingerie you put on. With TPO, we would like you to feel complete comfort and fulfillment.

Example:

long night dress, dressing gown

(for honeymoon, or hosting)

slip, middle slip, mini slip

(for a suit, one piece dress, or formal wear)

camisole and bottom

(for sports like golf)

long camisole

(for ethnic clothes or a top for pants look, with use of a slit, for nighties or gowns for relaxation times)

European lace, and the pursuit of handcraft

—Royal culture offers you real luxury.—

Born in Venice in the 16th century, lace was a symbol of authority which was used on the collars or cuffs of royalty and nobility. It reached its peak in the age of Baroque or Rococo. After the French revolution the industrialization of lace-making began.

In the history of lace, a most famous episode is the story of Queen Victoria of Britain in 1840. To make the wedding dress for her royal wedding ceremony 200 experienced and skillful craftspeople were selected and spent over 7 months to complete it. It is said that lace used then was inherited by the children to use for their own weddings. The baptismal lace-wear made for the first Queen is still used in the British Royal family for their baptisms today. It is clear that lace has been an important inheritance from a mother to her children, and to the grandchildren, down the successive lines from generation to generation.

Handcrafts such as lace or embroidery were also a mark of modesty for European aristocrats. Creating handmade embroidery on linens such as sheets or tablecloths, or on a self-made item of lingerie as a one point decoration was a kind of training "for wifehood". Gradually, the tradition shifted and it became customary for the those items to be bought as order-made.

Liliana Rubechini's handmade philosophy: through the importance of using it everyday and feeling it close to the body, the feeling of handcrafted lingerie means luxury. The custom of ironing for Italian women is much more deeply engrained than in other countries. It is said that in old times, the daughter of an aristocrat would master ironing as a “lesson in patience" in learning how to prepare for married life. Silk satin as an aristocratic material, taking year upon year to finish up from thread to material, is thus beautifully passed on.
